Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin was put in an uncomfortable position as his fiancee, Dakota Johnson, reportedly got "cold feet" in their upcoming summer wedding.

"Dakota has gotten cold feet. She loves Chris, but she's still not sure about marriage. She's seen too many of them end in divorce," Radar Online revealed.

Reportedly, the issue stemmed from Johnson's parents' history with marriage.

"[Dakota's] mother, Melanie Griffith, has been married three times, and her father, Don Johnson, got hitched twice, so she's hesitant to take the plunge herself. She's not a runaway bride - she's just not sure marriage is for her," the source explained.

Another source from Life & Style revealed that Johnson is not a "big proponent" of the legal aspect of marriage, saying, "Dakota says a piece of paper doesn't necessarily change anything."

"Dakota isn't a runaway bride," the source furthered. "She's just uncertain that marriage is for her."

However, Dakota's apprehension isn't the only thing keeping the wedding from coming to fruition.

Radar Online sources also revealed that Martin's ex-wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, is getting in the way as she became a "bridezilla" for the couple's upcoming wedding.

"Gwyneth really is trying to take over," the insider divulged. "Dakota likes Gwyneth, but her obsession with them getting married is too much. She's coming up with ideas for the ceremony, color themes, locations, even the guest list. It's exhausting, and one more reason Dakota wants to postpone the wedding."

Us Weekly sources attested that although there were "tensions" between Johnson and Paltrow initially, they became good friends.

"It took quite some time, but eventually, Gwyneth saw how amazing Dakota treated her kids," an insider shared. "Seeing her love them with her whole heart really changed the way Gwyneth felt."

Radar Online reported that Martin wanted to cheer Johnson up over the summer after the public ridiculed her movie Madame Web.

"Chris brought her back from the brink by pushing for a summer wedding," the insider revealed. "She needed some good news right about now."

Notably, Martin and Paltrow were married from 2003 to 2016. Johnson and Martin started dating in 2017, got engaged in 2020, and moved in together in 2021.
