Chappell Roan rose to fame in months as many people celebrated her music and even attended her festival appearances to sing her songs. However, this appears overwhelming for the rising artist as she got emotional during her recent performance.
A lot has happened for the musician over the last year. Last summer, she told the Line of Best Fit that she was teaching at a summer camp as a camp counselor. Today, she's one of the most in-demand artists to perform at music festivals.
The singer took the stage of the Red Hat Amphitheater in North Carolina, where she performed her unreleased song "The Subway," which she previously performed at the Governor's Ball in New York City.
During her set, the "Goodluck, Babe!" singer got candid and told her fans that she felt off that day.
"I guess I just want to be honest with the crowd. I just feel a little off today 'cause I think that my career is going really fast and it's really hard to keep up," she admitted.

She further noted that she was having a hard time performing, and she immediately apologized to fans for her energy, adding that she was not trying to give attendees a "lesser show."
"It's just, there's a lot... Thank you for understanding. This is all I've ever wanted. It's just heavy sometimes, I think," she added.
This wasn't the first time Roan opened up about the state of her mental health due to popularity, as she took to her official Instagram account in 2023 to reveal that she's very fortunate to become a singer and grateful to live the dream that she wanted, but it was difficult for her to process.
"I'm working through it the best I can and I'm grateful I have the means to afford therapy and occasional time off," she said.
In other updates about Chappell Roan, the rising musician is set to perform at the Bonnaroo Music Festival this weekend.
Initially, she was supposed to perform at a tent, but following her massive crowd at the Governors Ball, she will now be taking over the festival's main stage.
The singer also has several festival appearances over the next few months, including Lollapalooza, the Capitol Hill Block Party, the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival, and many more.
Chappell Roan's complete tour dates are available on her official website.
