Even the most avid Swifties think Taylor Swift should stick to singing instead of dancing.
In her latest tour, Swift's dancing skills faced criticism, even from some of her most ardent fans, after a viral clip from @harryalex98 showed the singer performing at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh last week.
The 34-year-old Pennsylvania native donned a fringed gold mini dress paired with white boots as she danced to the song "Fearless."
Despite attempting to channel a Las Vegas showgirl vibe, Swift's movements appeared stiff and awkward, though she seemed to be enjoying herself and not taking it too seriously.

In her attempt to make the fringe on her dress sway dramatically, Swift's dance moves came off as somewhat amateurish, prompting some critics to liken her to a "grandma" and suggest she take dancing lessons.
One fan commented, "I don't understand why they don't hire someone to teach her how to move properly."
Another wrote, "she is a brilliant songwriter but dancing isn't really her thing."

Others tried to make light of the situation, claiming she's cute but the dancing was truly bad.
"This is how my 8-year-old cousin dances after 2 Dr. Peppers," a person wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) in response to another X user posting Harry's original TikTok video on this platform and captioning it: "She's so underrated as a dancer."
Swift never claimed herself to be a good dancer although she is certainly willing to try. Back in February, Swift even had a close call during her performance at the Japan Eras Tour when she nearly slipped. The pop icon was performing a song from her Midnights album and incorporated some dance moves, but she missed her mark and almost fell, much to the concern of fans who captured the incident. Swifties speculated that her leg strength saved her from what could have been an embarrassing moment.
Last year, in his review of Taylor Swift's performances in LA, New York Times dance critic Brian Sebert acknowledged an aspect that may be evident to any observer: Swift's dance skills are not her strong suit.
"Swift is a pop superstar who dances but is not known for her dancing," Seibart wrote near the top of his piece. "Even many of her admirers will admit that in this respect she's no Beyoncé, no Britney Spears - that as hard as she tries, she's a little stiff and awkward."
Sebert proceeds to commend Swift's strengths in other areas, highlighting her stage presence and the "distinctive physicality" she brings to her performances. He notes her prowess in "inhabiting her various glamorous outfits" and her knack for striking "camera-ready over-the-shoulder poses."
Swift's Eras Tour is scheduled to conclude with her last show on December 8 in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
