A new tell-all book described Michael Jackson's authentic voice after it made headlines before and after the King of Pop's death.

PR guru Alan Edwards wrote his new book, I Was There, documenting his experience working with Jackson for decades. During the material's launch, he disclosed shocking information about the "Smooth Criminal" hitmaker, including his voice and This Is It final concerts at London O2 Arena.

"He was the life and soul of the 02. He was having a laugh. At one point he got in a buggy, driving around shouting jokes at people, chucking a ball at someone. He had such a laugh. So different from what people see," he said. "The day of Michael's launch, I was with Rob Hallett, a legendary promoter. Michael turned up, in the flesh he was bigger than you think, very firm handshake, and I don't remember his voice being that high-pitched either."

Several videos emerged online pointing out Jackson's real deep voice, which sounded far from his usual sound.

In December, @historyvids on X uploaded a viral video of Jackson performing "In the Closet" at his show in Munich, Germany. At the time, he was captured dropping his singing voice and using his deeper tone.

Michael's former doctor Conrad Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2011 after giving the singer a lethal dose of propofol that ultimately killed him, revealed that Joe Jackson forced his son to get hormone injections at the age of 12 to cure his pre-teen's acne.

The 2016 book This Is It! The Secret Lives of Dr. Conrad Murray and Michael Jackson also disclosed how Liza Minnelli caught Michael using a deeper voice during a phone call with David Gest.

"Somewhere in there, especially if you bring him bad news or if you make him mad, his voice gets very, very deep," journalist Diane Dimond added. "I was there one day when someone asked him about Gloria Allred, the attorney that has sort of dogged him and turned around in one foul swoop and said, 'She can go to hell,' in this big, deep masculine voice."

Oprah Winfrey also heard Michael's real voice, and she revealed the singer used a more normal voice behind the camera before their televised interview.
