A very rare CD containing songs recorded by Taylor Swift when she was 11 years old has been sold for thousands of dollars; check out its real value below.
According to People magazine, Goldin Auctions featured a one-of-a-kind autographed CD containing six songs, including original tracks and cover songs of The Chicks, Dolly Parton, and others, which was sold for $12,205 over the weekend.
The CD was recorded by a young Swift while she was still living in Reading, Pennsylvania. At the time, she shopped around Nashville with her mom, Andrea.
The recording featured a print with Swift's name, a tracklist, a black-and-white photo of the singer, and her contact information. The physical copy also had a black signature.
The original songs were "Am I Ready for Love," written by Celina Berman-Gray, and Can I Go With You, written by Greg McElrath and Swift herself.
Cover tracks include "There's Your Trouble" by The Chicks, "Hopelessly Devoted To You" by Olivia Newton-John, "Here You Come Again" by Dolly Parton, and "One Way Ticket (Because I Can)" by LeAnn Rimes.
This CD wasn't the only memorabilia showing Swift's humble beginnings, as an advertisement for her concert at the Saks High School Gym made rounds on Reddit.
In the newspaper ad, a portrait of a young Swift could be seen along with a text inviting people to attend her concert for as low as $20 on March 31, 2007.
"Don't miss your chance to hear this great 16-year-old singer/songwriter," the text reads.
Taste of Country reported that the venue where the concert was held only had 306 students in grades 8 to 12. At the time, her setlist included her biggest songs in 2007, like "Teardrops on My Guitar," "Should've Said No," "Tim McGraw," "Our Song," and "Picture to Burn."
Today, Taylor Swift is one of the biggest musicians in the world. She constantly performs sold-out concerts at venues around the world.
This year, she was added to the Forbes World's Billionaires List with an estimated net worth of $1.1 billion. She also received countless awards from major award-giving bodies like the Grammys, the VMAs, and more.
In other updates about the pop star, she's still on her Eras Tour in the United Kingdom, and she confirmed last week that her last show will be in December.
