Jessica Simpson is increasingly resembling at least one of the Kardashian sisters with her recent cosmetic enhancements and ambitions in Hollywood.

However, Kim Kardashian reportedly does not believe she's worth to be part of their circle. The singer is allegedly feeling disappointed about not being able to spend much time with Kim or other members of their circle.

According to an exclusive source from Life & Style, Simpson lives in Hidden Hills, the same neighborhood as Kim, and they initially started getting along well. However, Simpson had hoped their friendship would deepen further.

"Jessica lives in the same neighborhood as Kim and at one point they were starting to get really friendly but she was hoping it would go a lot further than it has," the source exclusively tells the magazine. "She feels like she really hasn't been let into the circle and it's kind of frustrating for her since she's tried so hard."

Both Kim, 43, and Simpson, 43, reside in Hidden Hills, where their daughters, North West and Maxwell Johnson, have a close bond and play together on the same basketball team coached by Simpson's husband, Eric Johnson.

The insider suggests that Simpson is grappling with the dynamics of her friendship with Kim, as Kim seems more focused on connecting with a newer, high-profile crowd that Simpson may not fit into comfortably.

"[Jessica's] even tried hiring the same people they do and has been hanging out with a lot of their old friends, but it really hasn't made a dent with Kim," the insider explains. The source was quick to clarify though that the Kardashians star hasn't "done anything rude" toward the Texas native, even though they do not jive.

Simpson has previously praised her friendship with the Kardashian family in a Us Weekly interview from April 2022, admiring how Kim has remained grounded despite her upbringing in the spotlight.

Despite Simpson's efforts, Kim appears to prioritize relationships that offer networking opportunities, which leaves Simpson feeling sidelined.

Kim's exclusive friend group was prominently featured during the June 6 episode of the Kardashians, where she celebrated her 43rd birthday at a high-profile event in Beverly Hills, organized by Khloé Kardashian.

The guest list included celebrities like Ivanka Trump, Lauren Sanchez, and Kimora Lee Simmons, highlighting the breadth of Kim's social connections.

Meanwhile, Simpson is set to release a new album soon after a signficant hiatus.

Since it has been so long since she released something new, Simpson's upcoming album is being viewed as a risky venture.

The 35-year-old singer and entrepreneur is preparing to launch her first batch of new music since 2010, and her team is reportedly concerned about its potential success.
