Taylor Swift's economic impact in the city of London was reported to reach nearly $400 million. The global pop star is scheduled to perform her first of eight shows at Wembley Stadium on June 21, 2024.

According to data released by the Greater London Authority (GLA), Swift could add nearly $381 million, or around £300 million, to the United Kingdom's Capital Economy.

Per the authority, more than 700,000 Swifties are expected to flock to Wembley in her eight shows over the summer.

"The Eras Tour has broken records and created huge excitement so I'm delighted that Taylor Swift has chosen to perform more nights in London than anywhere else in the world. Her eight performances will bring nearly 700,000 fans from across the country and beyond to Wembley Stadium, providing a huge boost to our hospitality industry and further proof that London is the greatest city in the world to watch live music," London Mayor Sadiq Khan said in a statement.

Khan is proud to welcome Swift to London, with "celebrations across the capital, including a special Tube map, trail, and murals in her honor."

"I encourage Swifties to not only enjoy the fantastic shows, but also make the most of everything London has to offer, and hope that even more people are encouraged to enjoy the incredible live music available in our city," he added.

Barclays have initially projected that Swift's The Eras Tour could boost U.K.'s economy by $1.2 billion in the span of her eight shows.

The firm anticipated that each fan would allocate a minimum of $1000 towards various expenditures, encompassing costs for tickets, travel, lodging, and potentially merchandise.

Taylor Swift's recent performances in Edinburgh, Cardiff, and Liverpool have all been marked by sold-out crowds, underscoring her immense popularity.

Her upcoming shows at Wembley Stadium on June 21, 22, and 23 are also completely sold out, promising an electrifying atmosphere. The lineup for these concerts includes esteemed artists such as Paramore, Mette, Griff, and Benson Boone, ensuring a diverse and exciting musical experience for attendees.

After her three shows in London, she will then head for three more shows in Dublin's Aviva Stadium before flying to Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw, Vienna, and back to London again for five more shows in London.
