Fans have been anticipating Tyler the Creator to perform at various festivals later this year, but many were shocked as he had to cancel two of his appearances, and he's now asking for forgiveness for the sudden pull-out.
Taking to his official X account, formerly known as Twitter, the musician shared the devastating news with his supporters, writing, "i hate saying this but i have to cancel lollapalooza and outside lands. i made a commitment that i can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were."
He then apologized to his followers, adding, "that is not sexy at all. please please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person. love."
As of this writing, the singer has yet to share why he had to cancel appearances at the events.
Fans took to the comment section to express their disappointment, as one wrote, "spent my entire paycheck and 4 installment payments TOO TO AFFORD THIS."
"i'm devastated because ur music got me through so much over the last 7 years & this was supposed to be my first time seeing u but i hope ur doing okay," one added.
Tyler the Creator was supposed to be one of the headliners for Lollapalooza, along with SZA, Blink-182, and the Killers. The event will be held at Grant Park in Chicago, IL, from August 1 to 4.
Other performers include Melanie Martinez, Stray Kids, Hozier, Future x Metro Boomin, Reneé Rapp, Lizzy McAlpine, Zedd, Fisher, Labyrinth, Pierce the Veil, Victoria Monét, Faye Webster, as well as Kesha, Sexxy Redd, Teddy Swims, Benson Boone, Jungle, Two Door Cinema Club, and more.
Four-day general admission to the event costs $385 per person, which includes access to food concessions and official merchandise.

On the other hand, the Outside Lands Music Festival's headliners include the Killers, Sturgill Simpson, Grace Jones, the Postal Service, Kaytranada, Jungle, Chris Lake, and Gryffin. The event will be at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA, from August 9 to 11.
