Cardi B was among the performers at the BETExperience following the event's four-year hiatus. During her set, the rapper stopped mid-show to call out her production staff for technical difficulties that she endured while playing to fans.

During Friday evening's show, the musician confronted her crew, saying they were "messing up" her music and adding, "For production, ya'll messing up my pyros."

She also noted that the fan was off, stating, "F*** am I paying ya'll p**** n***** for? What am I paying y'all n***** for? Put my f****** fan on, b****. Let's go."

Not all fans were happy about Cardi B's actions that night, as social media users called her out for her attitude. One wrote, "I understand that people have families to feed, but I wished we lived in a better world because no one should ever be disrespected like this in the workplace environment/ at all," adding that this principle is not exclusive to "less glamorous positions" and even celebrities.

The user has limited the people who can view their posts, but Cardi quote-retweeted the comment and defended herself.

"Girl shut up.. when you do a show you don't pay after you pay before.. I paid 350,000 up front the least they could do is get my pyro ready and turn the fans on because guess what??? At the end of the day that money is not returnable," she wrote.

The rapper added that people shouldn't tell her how to talk to anybody because they are the same people who talk about her kids and "other deceased parents" for no reason.

One user also defended Cardi, saying the public was mad for calling out her production crew not with a "nice female" attitude, which the musician appreciated as she replied: "Thank you for understanding."

She gave more background about her performance, saying she spent $100,000 on pyrotechnics that weren't used because the production team failed to tell the fire marshall to go over with her team.

She also booked four fans for her "Bartier Cardi" performance, but they were never turned on.

"You wanna know why? Because they didn't bother to show up to rehearsal while hundred thousands of dollars was put into this show. Don't play with my money in this economy honey," she added.
