Justin Timberlake, recently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, may be facing more than just legal consequences.
Reports suggest his wife, Jessica Biel, is troubled by his latest incident and could be considering ending their marriage due to his history of drinking-related problems.
Following a night of partying with friends in Sag Harbor, New York, where Timberlake was subsequently arrested, sources told US Weekly that Biel, 42, was "extremely upset" and worried at the same time.
"His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests," court papers obtained by the publication said.
The 43-year-old pop icon's alleged pattern of alcohol-related misbehavior has reportedly strained his relationship with wife for some time.
An insider told The National Enquirer that Biel is contemplating divorce and has consulted attorneys, potentially seeking a settlement that could cost Timberlake up to $270 million.
"Most of the problems they've had have centered around Justin's hard drinking and the misbehavior that results from that," the informant claimed.
Eyewitnesses at the American Hotel, a celebrity hotspot, described Justin as visibly intoxicated before he was pulled over for a traffic violation in his 2025 BMW, as reported by The New York Post.
Despite Timberlake's claim of having consumed "one martini," officers noted his bloodshot eyes and the smell of alcohol. He reportedly refused a breathalyzer test multiple times.
According to Daily Mail, Justin's comment to police, "This is going to ruin the tour," underscores the potential professional impact of the incident.
However, the officer involved allegedly did not recognize Justin, adding to the singer's apparent humiliation.
The situation has reportedly exacerbated existing marital challenges.
Sources suggest that Jessica's patience has worn thin over the years, particularly after Justin's highly publicized incident with co-star Alisha Wainwright in 2019 and subsequent efforts at reconciliation through marriage counseling.
