Sean "Diddy" Combs is facing more legal challenges ahead.

Sources familiar with ongoing legal issues surrounding Combs' reported to NBC News that a federal criminal investigation is underway. Two informants disclosed that a federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York is actively reviewing evidence related to a crime.

NBC further reported that there is no indication that charges are imminent. Combs has not received a target letter typically issued by a US attorney when substantial evidence implicates an individual in criminal activities.

The reasons, intentions, and factors driving this investigation remain shrouded in secrecy but authorities have already updated Combs and his legal team on this matter.

In March, federal agents raided Combs' home. Upon gaining entry, they systematically searched the Combs' mansion, confiscating electronic devices and meticulously scouring every corner in pursuit of vital clues for their active case.

Upon inspection of the chaotic scene that followed the federal searches, it was clear that clothes and shoes were strewn across the floor, furniture had been overturned, and safes were left wide open with scattered documents.

The rooms belonging to Combs' kids were not spared, as teddy bears and various stuffed animals were found scattered on the ground.

Reports at the time indicated that there had been substantial damage to his residences in Los Angeles and Miami due to the raids.

In light of unfolding events, it's unsurprising that Combs recently listed his $70 million estate in Los Angeles for sale, according to TMZ.

The massive home, located in Los Angeles, spans over 17,000 square feet. It has eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a state-of-the-art 35-seat theater, a full gym, and a sophisticated wine room. There's also a 3,000-square-foot guest home in the lavish property.

Despite being constructed over ten years ago, the "I Need A Girl" rapper's home has been consistently updated with contemporary touches. However, the property's substantial cost and background could pose challenges in finding a buyer.

News of Combs' leaving the Sunshine State comes amid a sex trafficking legal case has emerged.

Model Adria English accused Combs of manipulating her into engaging in sex trafficking activities in 2004. She also accused him of pressuring another model into performing oral sex. She also sued Tamiko Thomas for allegedly orchestrating the sex trafficking operation, among other claims.
