When celebrities reach a certain level of popularity, a wax figure based on their likeness is usually made to honor them. However, not all of them are accurate, which often leads to fans sharing their adverse reactions. More recently, a wax figure of Beyoncé has been the subject of a heated debate among online users because many claim it didn't look like the singer.
The Grévin Museum has just launched Beyoncé's new wax figure in Paris. The figure wears a metallic outfit and sits in a round chair. Although the hair and outfit seemingly match, many BeyHive members believe the skin is white-washed, and the face doesn't resemble the singer's features.
Taking to X, fans share their opinions about the wax figure as one wrote, "Girl who is this white woman."
"At this point, she needs to issue a cease and desist on all wax figure makers! Just call it," another one wrote.
"They always get the essence but never right. That's impressive that she can't even be properly imitated by even wax. Best I've seen are drawings," one added.
"That ain't her face nor her skin tone... the body right tho," another one wrote.
"it feels like every five second some botched wax figure being revealed like guys what is going on?????????" one expressed.
One noted that it looked like another singer, as they wrote: "Looks more like Shakira than Beyonce, then again they've always looked like they were first cousins."
As of this writing, Beyoncé has yet to share her reaction to the recent wax figure.
The recent news comes after the singer entered her Cowboy Carter era when she released an album of country music and collaborated with several artists under the said genre.
After the massive success of her Renaissance World Tour, during which she performed tracks from her album Renaissance, fans have been waiting for her to go on tour again.
Beyoncé has yet to announce a possible tour or future performances, but there have been rumors that she will perform in Australia later this year.
"I work in the major events space and the word on the street is that Beyoncé is coming to town later this year... We all know the concerts at the MCG work... Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift. It's been the biggest shows of their careers," a host from a radio station in Melbourne read.
