Fans who had held onto hope as they watched Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck revive their romance after almost twenty years are now realizing that their paradise may be facing some challenges.
Media attention has shifted towards Bennifer's current locations and the status of their marriage symbols, such as their rings, both of which remain intact.
Because of the developments, it seems that Lopez's family is prepared for her to transition away from her marriage with Affleck. As per reports from the Daily Mail, the singer's mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, is supporting her daughter in considering a separation amid persistent speculations of an impending divorce.
"Lopez's mom told her, 'Cut your losses and move on to avoid getting any deeper in this mess.'"
"She told her that she's wasted years believing that [Affleck] was some kind of knight in shining armor. He was not the person she built him up to be. It's taken too much of a toll on her and because of this she has lost sight of who she is and what she stands for."
Now, Heat World is reporting that perhaps cutting off Affleck won't be as difficult.
The "Jenny from the Block" singer is reportedly already reaching out to exes, with more recently, she is seeking comfort from Drake, during a tumultuous period in her life.
Lopez and Drake reportedly dated in 2016 while collaborating on the Atlas actress' All I Have Las Vegas Residency. Unfortunately, their romance was temporary and short-lived.
According to an insider who spoke to the outlet, "[Lopez] been leaning on Drake over the last few weeks after he reached out to offer his support."
"He's helping her get through what's been one of the toughest times in her life."
The insider went on to say that the "U My Everything" singer has been "vocal about his mental health struggles and is currently taking some time out to focus on his own wellbeing, so knowing how in tune he is with his emotional health makes [Lopez] feel very comfortable about being vulnerable and open with him."
"Aside from the heartache and emotional ups and downs of their current situation, the fact that there is a prenup and all the logistics that entails have been weighing heavily on [Lopez]. She's been warned this could become one of Hollywood's ugliest divorces, which would be her worst nightmare."
Lopez is reportedly experiencing doubt about Affleck's worthiness in her eyes, a sentiment echoed by her sisters.
While they wish for the singer-actress' happiness, the "Get Right" singer's siblings believe she may be fixating on past expectations rather than the present reality.
Due to this, the sisters are reportedly encouraging Lopez to prioritize her well-being, and advocate for her to initiate divorce proceedings and shift her attention to her children and career.
After all, they believe that Affleck's inability to recognize the support of millions, including his wife and her family, is a source of disappointment.
"It's upsetting to her family and [Lopez] that [Affleck] cannot see there is a woman who is loved by millions that will love him eternally-but he would rather throw in the towel than actually just try to fix things," the Daily Mail's source added.
