One of the alleged killers of Pop Smoke recently spoke out.

In an interview with No Jumper, Blockstar provided some insight into the 2020 murder of the 20-year-old rapper, whose real name is Bashar Barakah Jackson.

The suspect who was underage at the time of the incident and is currently out on bail, showed no signs of regret for his involvement in the fatal home invasion that took place in Los Angeles.

"I'm not sorry about anything. It shouldn't have happened, but I ain't sorry," Blockstar said.

"If I could go back, I'd go back. But I ain't sorry. People die every day. Pop Smoke was rapping about it. All types of stuff. So, I ain't sorry about it. I send my condolences to the family. I wish it never happened. But I don't regret nothing."

He went on to say, "Growing up, my people, my family told me, 'You ain't sorry for nothing. Whatever you did, you did it for a reason and stand on it.'"

Blockstar faced legal consequences in connection with the tragic murder of Pop Smoke alongside three other individuals. Majority of the accused were underage when the crime happened, leading to their cases being resolved through the juvenile justice system.

However, Corey Walker, the sole adult defendant in the case, is awaiting trial for his involvement.

Blockstar also clarified that what they did was a theft with no outside involvement. He insisted there was no direction from anyone else and said all reports suggesting otherwise are inaccurate.

He further asserted that he and his fellow defendants did not plan to cause harm to Pop Smoke, acknowledging that he assumed the mansion would be vacant when they set out to carry out their plans.

"Nobody intended to get hurt. We were just kids being kids. Kids from the hood. There was too much movement, too much going on. It wasn't intentional."

After spending a few years behind bars, Blockstar felt his time in prison was insufficient, yet he refrained from proposing an alternative penalty.

In connection with Pop Smoke's death, three additional individuals faced charges in April 2023: a minor who was underage during the incident, along with Corey Walker and Keandre Rodgers, as per the report by the Associated Press.

A judge has granted an official order to prevent the media from revealing the identities of the underage defendants.

In Hollywood Hills on February 19, 2020, Pop Smoke's temporary home became the target of a break-in by a group of individuals. Among them was an individual wearing a mask and brandishing a handgun. The incident occurred while the rapper was away on a brief visit to Los Angeles, during which he had disclosed his whereabouts in an Instagram post.

Upon barging unexpectedly into Jackson's bedroom, the perpetrators cornered him while he was in the shower. Startlingly, the teenager shot the "Dior" rapper and fired three shots into his back, as recounted in the testimony.
