Wiz Khalifa is young, wild &free.

According to reports, the hip-hop artist, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz, is facing charges of unlawful possession of drugs following an incident where they were using marijuana during their performance at the Beach Please! Festival on Saturday evening in Romania.

In a recent press release issued on Sunday, per People magazine, the Romanian anti-organized crime prosecutors, DIICOT, announced that the Directorate has launched criminal proceedings for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism - Constanța Territorial Service against a defendant who is a "US citizen." They further claimed that the investigation is focused on the alleged unlawful possession of drugs risk.

It went on to say, "During a recital held during a music festival held in the resort of Costinești, Constanța county, [Khalifa] possessed over 18 grams of cannabis (risk drug) and consumed (on stage) another amount of cannabis under the shape of a craft cigarette."

Barron reported that Khalifa, along with several others, was brought in for questioning on Sunday morning. While the 10-time Grammy nominee initially faced charges, he was later let go.

A viral video captured the "See You Again" hitmaker being led away from the festival venue by a group of Romanian police.

In Romania, individuals can face imprisonment for a maximum of 10 years if found in possession of marijuana.

After the occurrence, Khalifa expressed on X, formerly Twitter, that he did not intend to disrespect Romania when he lit up on stage.

Khalifa wrote, "Last nights show was amazing. I didn't mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up on stage. They were very respectful and let me go. I'll be back soon. But without a big a-- joint next time."

Upon hearing about Khalifa's arrest for illegal drug possession in a foreign country, there was a range of responses from the public.

shandafields said in a comment on The Shade Room's post on Instagram, "Y'all need to learn these countries laws before going to them. This could've ended badly."

vicmram wrote, "Lmaooo the way yall are acting like Romania is North Korea got me crying."

"Y'all better stop playing in other countries. I do love his response though and how he took accountability," said laa___madrina_.

tinka_nik commented, "I don't understand why ppl have to smoke on stage anyway. Go to rehab."

Khalifa's openness about his love for the drug is well-known. Earlier this year, he revealed that he attends his son Sebastian's school meetings while under the influence.

In January's Call Her Daddy podcast interview, the rapper confessed, "Hell yeah. I'm pulling up stoned. They expect it," according to Business Insider.

"They know what's up. It's not like back in the day you're considered a bad parent if you smoke weed."
