Celine Dion is set to return to the stage at the 2024 Paris Olympics, according to a new report.
Variety reported that the "My Heart Will Go On" singer may perform at the Olympic Games' opening ceremony on Friday.
According to TMZ, Dion will be paid $2 million to perform just one song.
This will be the pop icon's first live performance since she announced her decision to stop touring and take a break from the spotlight following her Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) diagnosis.
The comeback rumors came as Dion was photographed greeting fans outside the Royal Monceau Hotel in the French capital on Tuesday.
On Monday, Dion arrived in Paris at the hotel near the Champs-élysées, along with Lady Gaga, another potential opening ceremony star.
Specific details about Dion's performance are being withheld.
Her recent documentary, "I Am: Celine Dion," followed her recovery process while she prepared to go back on stage.
Dion has assured her fans that she is still determined to sing again.
An unnamed source told The Sun's Bizarre magazine that Dion has made no secret of her desire to perform live again.
According to those close to her, the singer reportedly sees the Paris Olympics as an opportunity to return to the stage that she loves so dearly.
The 56-year-old Grammy winner made her official diagnosis public in an emotional video posted in December 2022.
Dion said that her ability to walk and sing was being affected by spasms brought on by SPS.
"I've been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it's been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I've been going through ... It hurts me to tell you that I won't be ready to restart my tour in Europe," the singer shared.
