Cardi B Faces $3 Million Deadline to Save Atlanta Mansion Amid Offset Divorce, Pregnancy

Cardi B must pay off her $3 million mortgage within two months or face losing her lavish home in Atlanta, Georgia.

Earlier this week, Icy Scoop News shared a now-deleted post on X, formerly Twitter, claiming that Cardi and her soon-to-be ex-husband Offset struggled to meet their mortgage payments and were at risk of losing their Atlanta mansion -- a sprawling 22,000-square-foot residence featuring five bedrooms and 11 bathrooms -- to foreclosure.

The "WAP" rapper denied this claim Monday and clarified that they acquired the property in 2019 for $5 million and that it has since appreciated in value to $7 million. Zillow appraises it at $6.5 million.

According to The U.S. Sun, official records stated that significant loans totaling $11 million were secured against Cardi and Offset's real estate holdings in Atlanta and New Jersey over the last five years.

Of these loans, $3 million was approved as recently as October 2023. However, this short-term loan has a repayment deadline of Oct. 4, 2024, giving them just over two months to settle the debt.

In addition to their $3 million loan, the estranged couple, who goes back and forth in their relationship status, took out a $3.575 million loan from Wells Fargo to buy their Atlanta property in 2019, putting the total money they owe at $6.58 million.

Cardi B and Offset's nine-bedroom, nine-bathroom residence in Tenafly, New Jersey, was acquired for $5.85 million in September 2021 and is currently valued at $6.1 million.

Soon after, a loan of $4.3 million for the New Jersey property was secured from a different lender in Tennessee, First Horizon Bank.

Celebrity Net Worth reported that Cardi has an estimated fortune of $80 million.

Cardi B also finds herself amid significant changes in her life after recently disclosing that she's expecting a third child.

This revelation came hot on the heels of the news that she filed for divorce from Offset, her husband of almost seven years.

The "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker announced her third pregnancy on Instagram Thursday, writing, "With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!"

She also shared a series of alluring photos of herself wearing a vibrant red outfit paired with a lush fur coat, elegantly highlighting her décolletage and growing baby bump.

"Reminded me that I can have it all! You've reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!" she continued, addressing her unborn baby. "I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It's so much easier taking life's twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it's worth it to push through!"
