Juicy J Backtracks on Twerking Scholarship Offered As 'Stay Trippy' Release Approaches

Juicy J, former Three 6 Mafia member gone solo, is renowned for his dedication to twerking and the art thereof. The rapper, whose album "Stay Trippy" comes out on Tuesday, has repurposed his favorite form of Miley Cyrus exploitation and repackaged it with a positive outcome: The winner of his twerking contest would win a $50,000 college scholarship. You may be able to ignore ratchet scholarships, but some female undergrads can't.

Something seemed awry when the only mention of such a competition existed on the rapper's Twitter account, but Juicy provided actual rules and regulations to assure that no one entered and simply made off with the prize sans proof of intended education (Kanye West's "Ghetto University" was not eligible). The ultimate description he tweeted was that he was "giving out a 50k scholarships to the best chick that can twerk."

However the tweets have since disappeared from his Twitter account, and the rapper hasn't made any indication whether the deal is null and void. For the time being, don't bother sending your application videos to Juicy because there's no evidence of bandz to make you dance.

The entire shenanigan was probably a reference to "Scholarship," a track off of "Stay Trippy" featuring A$AP Rocky. This isn't the first peculiar piece of publicity Juicy's used to promote the album either. Users who head over to TheJuicyJ.com can access an early stream of the album by winning "Stay Strippy," an arcade-style game where the character throws money at digital strippers to succeed.
