iLoveMakonnen Fills In For YG At Drake vs. Lil' Wayne Concert In Los Angeles After LAPD Bans 'My Hitta' Rapper From Performing

Just last week, it was announced that "My Hitta" rapper YG would be joining Drake and Lil' Wayne for their California tour stops but things came to a screeching halt thanks to the LAPD, according to YG, and iLoveMakkonnen was called on to fill in.

The Atlanta music maker has quite a buzz right now following the release of "Tuesday."

According to his Twitter account, iLoveMakkonnen performed Friday night in Irvine and he will hit the stage again tonight in Chula Vista.

As for YG, he announced Friday afternoon that he would be missing the Irvine and Hollywood shows. Although he didn't offer up an in depth explanation, he took to social media pointing the finger at the police.

"Irvine/Hollywood, the LAPD ain't letting me perform at the #DrakeVsWayne dates today and Monday. All that giving bak must don't matter," he tweeted.

Nonetheless, iLoveMakkonnen seemed excited about the opportunity tweeting out "Dream come true!" along with a photo of his performance dates but he is no stranger to the Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour. Drizzy brought him out during the tour's Atlanta stop. The Toronto rapper also announced he signed Makkonnen to his roster after remixing his internet hit.

As previously reported, Makkonnen has released just one self-titled mixtape but made major waves with his contemporaries thanks to Drake's enthusiastic reception toward "Tuesday."

Earlier this month, OVO Sound welcomed iLoveMakonnen with open arms, immediately promoting the signing on its Twitter and Instagram. He joins the likes of Majid Jordan, PARTYNEXTDOOR and OB O'Brien.
