Kenny Chesney, one of the most successful country music acts around, stopped by NBC's TODAY show earlier this morning to celebrate the release of his new album The Big Revival –– out today!
To kick off the Toyota Concert Series, Chesney performed for a packed crowd of "No Shows Nation" participants in New York's Rockefeller Plaza a number of singles from the album –– "Somewhere With You" and "American Kids."
During his time at the show, Chesney told the hosts, "The Big Revival was made with a lot of positive energy, and it took some time to make that." He added, "When they hear these songs I want them to feel that positive energy. We made this album with the thread of living in the moment."

Following his performance, the singer spoke about the record, saying, "I wanted to take my audience in a different place. ... You get to a point in your career and in your life where you want to say something different, and you just want to do things differently."
He added, "I didn't want to repeat myself but I wanted to push my audience at the same time without alienating them."
Afterwards, the singer's twitter followers were thrilled to find the country star hangin' with his "pardner" –– Today's Al Roker.
