Tyler The Creator recently stopped by Los Angeles' KTLA morning show to discuss his rise to fame but before wrapping things up, he decided to throw a fake birthday party for the news anchors during his live interview.
As reported by Vibe, the Odd Future frontman dished on various things including his clothing line, starting the group at 15, Earl Sweatshirt's two-year hiatus from the group and his annual Camp Flog Gnaw carnival.
"I started it so, like 15, 15-years-old," he said when asked about Odd Future. "It's weird. It got a cult following and then random things like MTV and more people starting to know."
When asked about the "great mysteries" surrounding Earl, TTC said, "I don't know where he went. He got like kidnapped or something and randomly came back and now he's home. It's like a wild storybook."
The 23-year-old also discussed the Camp Flog Gnaw carnival he throws every year in the LA Coliseum.
"When I released the album, I said lets have a block party with a bunch of rides and stuff. That didn't go well," TTC said explaining how he and his manager came up with the carnival idea. "They wouldn't give us the permit and then he actually was like what if we throw a carnival and now we're on our third one."
He said he hopes this year's attendance will hit 15,000. With Pharrell headlining, that shouldn't be a hard goal to meet. Last year, a whooping 10,000 people showed up.
While discussing his clothing line, Tyler The Creator revealed that he had a surprise for the on-air anchors. "Guess what time it is?," he asked the unsuspecting anchors.
Balloons were brought from the back, confetti was thrown and the station even queued the birthday song. Check out the clip below. The Camp Flog Gnaw carnival will be held on Nov. 8.
