All Chris Lane fans know the basics - he was born and raised in Kernersville, North Carolina and had a great future in baseball but after an injury in college side-lined him, he turned to music and hasn't looked back.

These are the things that you may not know ...

  1. Chris doesn't believe in luck - he believes in God! (from Instagram)
  2. He doesn't drink and neither does anyone in his band, so he doesn't have to worry about anyone being on it and getting crazy on stage. (from entmag)
  3. His debut video was shot in his hometown and Chris invited the whole town to come out and be a part of it all.
  4. His debut single broke digital sales records with 11,247 downloads in its first week.
  5. If he could pick "dream" tour choices, he would share the stage with Keith Urban (who he calls his biggest influence) or Taylor Swift (because she's "Amazing.")
  6. If he wasn't a singer, Chris says that he would be a football coach because he loves the game so much.
  7. Chris has a twin brother named Cory. The brothers both played baseball as UNC-Charlotte. Chris was an outfielder and Cory was an infielder. Two ACL injuries ended Chris's baseball dreams while Cory was drafted by a pro team (but he chose not to take the deal because he didn't want to play ball without his twin).
  8. A dog lover, Chris has a lab-put mix named Rudy.
  9. When Chris was in junior high, he was a big fan of the show Saved by the Bell and to this day, if he sees an episode, he watches. (from Glamour)
  10. Chris grew up listening to country but once he was in high school, he got into rap. College brought him back around to country and a Keith Urban concert cemented the deal.
