Kate Bush 'Before The Dawn' Show Pushed Back by Power Outage...Disgruntled Fans Lament Leaving Early

Kate Bush's comeback run of shows at the London Hammersmith Apollo has drawn rave reviews thus far but some unforeseen events led to Friday night's show being a major disappointment for some fans. A power outage led to a lengthy delay and many weren't able to stay for the entire performance as to deal with other commitments.

"Delayed til 9, won't finish til 12.15 BUT only people who leave b4 9.45 get refunds. So we'll see half the show but no refund," read the tweets of one attendee as published by NME. "as have to leave at 10:30 for babysitter. Very poor..."

The concert was scheduled to begin at 8 but the power failure meant that things would eventually be pushed back until 9:05. As the tweet before alluded to, fans were able to secure a full refund as long as they left the performance before 9:45. Many decided, despite needing to leave earlier for travel or other arrangements, that some Kate Bush was better than no Kate Bush. After all, this concert series is her first string of live shows in nearly 35 years. There's certainly been any hints that another run or tour will be following "Before The Dawn" so fans were probably wise to suck it up and catch what they could.

Of course, if it were us, we probably would have kept our babysitter for an unethically extended period of time and paid them accordingly. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
