George Clooney, the man who swore he would never marry again, is officially off the market.
Amal Alamuddin apparently brought something different to the table when the two began dating — officially — last October because Clooney has been more than willing to change his views on relationships in order to hang on to her.
The actor and the human rights attorney were married Saturday in Venice, Italy, during a sunset ceremony that included the likes of Bono, Cindy Crawford, Bill Murray and Matt Damon.
Clooney and Alamuddin arrived in Venice Friday and their star-studded list of wedding guests also began arriving then as well. Various streets in Venice have been closed to accommodate the wedding chaos. Several walkways will also be closed Monday so the couple can partake in a civil service that will officially make them legally husband and wife.
On Saturday evening, Clooney and his blushing bride swapped vows on a podium in front of a large wall of white candles in the presence of more than 100 of those closest to them. The venue was decorated with white flowers, including tiny roses, lilies and carnations as well as hundreds of additional hand-crafted, flickering candles.
The 130 guests were taken by speed boat and gondola to the seven-star Aman resort within the 450-year-old Palazzo Papadopoli. Upon arrival, the guests found bottles of champagne and red wine and celebrated with disco and jazz past midnight. They snacked on canapes, including polenta with wild mushrooms and prosciutto with figs. Afterword, everyone was reportedly seated in the main library to a five-course dinner, which included lemon risotto with lobster.
On Sunday morning, Clooney and his new bride were spotted out early heading to Cipriani to host a brunch party for many of their wedding guests who stayed in the area while celebrating with them this weekend.
