'Law & Order: SVU' To Air Episode Based On Jay Z/Solange Elevator Fight [WATCH]

One of this year's biggest headlines, the infamous Solange/Jay Z elevator fight, has become the storyline for an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU. As HotNewHipHip reports, the long-running NBC drama announced that the episode "American Disgrace" will depict a fictionalized version of the scandal and explore why sh*t goes down when there's a billion dollars in an elevator.

No word on what the Carter-Knowles family thinks about all this, but hey, at least they aren't the only ones becoming muses for the episode. Aspects of Ray Rice's elevator scandal and Donald Sterling's racist rants were also inspirations for the show.

This isn't the first time that SVU has depicted a fictionalized version of real-life headlines. They previously wrote an episode inspired by Chris Brown's Rihanna saga and one based on the 1993 child molestation allegations against Michael Jackson.

In the trailer for the episode (watch below), a fictional NBA player named Shakir Wilkins (Henry Simmons) is accused of rape by an employee. The footage of her going off on him in the elevator is captured by a security camera and goes public. There's no audio, only raw camera footage. The special victims unit then gets to work solving the case.

The episode is set to air Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
