Perhaps the most anticipated music festival in the world every year, it's no secret that you've got to be quick to snap up tickets for Glastonbury. The first round of ticket packages went up on sale Wednesday and were gone within 14 minutes, according to NME.
"Wow, all 15,000 coach + ticket packages went in 14 minutes!" tweeted Emily Eavis, organizer and daughter of founder Michael Eavis. "That's amazing. (If you missed out, the rest are on sale at 9am on Sunday.)"
The packages moved on Wednesday, which featured both admission and travel arrangements to the festival, were released at 7 pm and a crowd was waiting. The more than 15,000 ticket deals evidently sold at a rate after than a thousand per minute. If you're eager to get out to Glastonbury next year, the next wave of tickets go on sale at 9 AM on October 5 (and remember, American readers, that's 9 AM in the UK).
It's important to note that the festival itself won't actually occur until late June of 2015 and an actual lineup won't be announced for up to six months from now. Just a hint as to how popular this festival is...don't plan on checking out the lineup to make sure acts you enjoy will be there before you buy tickets. It's now or never.
If you want to get an idea who might be headlining next year however, you could always check out the UK's betting superpower, William Hill. The site is hot on Fleetwood Mac for next year, giving the band 4/6 odds. Both AC/DC and Muse are sitting at 3/1. And yes, if you're familiar with all of the run up to 2014's event, Prince is listed at 8/1 odds.
