As promised on his recently released "Wednesday," Eric Bellinger just dropped his new mixtape Choose Up Season. Following the Nicki Minaj scandal and collaborations with The Game, the singer-songwriter is offering up a nine-track prelude to his album.
While Bellinger has become widely known for his songwriting, his ready to step into the forefront and flaunt his singing abilities. As noted by Rap-Up, Bellinger issues a warning to his R&B competition on the mixtape's preview track "Wednesday." He sings, "I done put in my time, been behind the scenes/But I'm coming for the crown, to be the R&B king."
Choose Up Season features guest spots by TeeFlii, Pleasure P, Teyana Taylor and The Game.
According to XXL, Bellinger is preparing to release his Cuffin Season album next year. He will also be featured on Game's forthcoming album Blood Moon: Year of the Wolf, which is slated to be released Oct. 14. The two collaborated on a track called "Or Nah." It also features Too $hort, Problem and AV.
