World-renowned violinist Joshua Bell recently took to the D.C. catacombs to perform for a busy crowd who stopped to hear Bach. Now, on Tuesday, October 14, Bell will be paid tribute by HBO with a new documentary, Joshua Bell: A YoungArts Masterclass.
The National YoungArts Foundation (YAF) gives budding talents across the country an unparalleled experience to be mentored by some of the world's most phenomenal musicians.
A Grammy-award winning violinist, Joshua Bell is perhaps the best advocate for music education in this country. With this latest doc, Bell will be able to showcase not only his unrivaled talent, but how he feels music should resonate with a younger generation.
Most recently, Bell performed underground at the Union Station stop in the D.C. metro. His mission for the concert was to bring music to the youth while also breaking down the reputation as being "that guy that played in the subway and no one stopped."
