Pink Floyd’s upcoming album The Endless River is set for release on Nov. 10, but today, Oct. 9, one of the album’s songs surfaced online, which you can listen to below. “Louder Than Words” features lyrics by Polly Gilmour, wife of guitarist David Gilmour, which describe Pink Floyd’s famously tense internal dynamics. It is the only song on The Endless River to feature lead vocals from David Gilmour.

In addition to this song, Gilmour also revealed in an interview with The Guardian that The Endless River would very likely be the last Pink Floyd album. “Well, Rick is gone,” Gilmour said, referring to Pink Floyd’s late keyboardist Rick Wright, to whom the album is dedicated. “This is the last thing that’ll be out from us…I’m pretty certain there will not be any follow up to this.”
Pink Floyd’s last album, The Division Bell, was released more than 20 years ago. Though Rick Wright passed away in 2008 at age 65, much of The Endless River contains instrumental music recorded by Wright during the 1993 sessions for The Division Bell.
“He has been underestimated by the public, by the media and by us at times I hate to say,” Gilmour went on to say about Wright. “I didn’t necessarily always give him his proper due. People have very different attitudes to the way they work and we can become very judgmental and think someone is not quite pulling his weight enough, without realizing that theirs is a different weight to pull.”
