Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has traded up management companies, opting for the same agency that represents artists like Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus.
Billboard reports that Tyler is now managed by Larry Rudolph and Rebecca Lambrecht of ReignDeer Entertainment. "At this exciting new time in my career, there was need for a big change," the singer told Billboard. "After meeting and getting to know Larry and Rebecca and seeing that we all share the same vision, I knew it was the perfect time for me to work with people who truly have my best interest and well-being in mind. I look forward to making incredible history together and having FUN while we take over the world, work and travel on the most adventurous journey you could ever imagine."
The news comes shortly after some details of Tyler's new solo album surfaced. Last week, the singer said that he would be heading to Nashville to work on material. "...There's a piece of me that just loves country so much," he said during a Q&A. "And I'm not sure what kind of country that is, but it's got the fifth harmony, and anyone who knows who the Everly Brothers is - it's those kinds of melodies that are just so, so good."
Tyler went on to assure Aerosmith fans that the band would not be breaking up because of his solo endeavors. The country-inspired record will be Tyler's first solo LP, with only three singles to his credit sans Aerosmith.
Meanwhile, Aerosmith axeman Joe Perry released a memoir highlighting some of his adventures over the past few decades. "It was time to lay all this stuff out," Perry told The Boston Globe. "I was overwhelmed by the sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll story being retold and retold with not a lot of depth behind it. Not that I wanted to write that kind of book anyway, but it just reinforced my feelings about the story I wanted to tell."
