Did you tune in for last spring's installment of True Tori, a reality show on Lifetime based on Tori Spelling's personal life? If so then you no doubt found yourself feeling like you were watching a family crisis unfold that you had no business even being a spectator for. Basically, Spelling's husband Dean McDermott had confessed to having an affair last December and rather than pull the plug on the reality show's filming, they went ahead with it. Fans watched as Spelling, screamed, yelled and cried herself into a hospital bed because the stress was too much to handle. Just in case all of that wasn't bad enough, they are going to do it all over again. Season 2 of True Tori begins airing on Oct. 21 and it'll be no better than the first go-round.
This time around Spelling actually has an on-camera chat with McDermott's first wife, Mary Jo Eustace. The ladies have supposedly not seen each other in 8 years, since McDermott left Eustace to be with Spelling, and things get as messy as you'd expect. This is exactly the kind of run-in that most people would want to avoid let alone have it occur on camera for the world to see. Unfortunately every move that Spelling is motivated by needing cash, not by healing old hurts.
In order to get the chance to do a second season of True Tori she knew that she was going to have to bring something explosive to the table and apparently she has absolutely no problem doing that. There are also rumors that in the second season Spelling may be in search of her husband's side chick so that she can chat with her too.
Supposedly, the first time around Spelling was hoping that people would feel bad for her situation with McDermott. Instead there was a great deal of backlash for airing such messy stuff in front of their four young children. The network is obviously capitalizing on Spelling's personal crisis and as long as she's getting paid she seems to be okay with that. Will you tune in to see this continued train wreck skidding out of control on Lifetime? Do you think that is deserves a second season?
