American Music Awards 2014: Iggy Azalea, Katy Perry, Pharrell and John Legend Lead AMA Nominations

Award season is just around the corner. Today (Oct. 13), the nominations for the 2014 American Music Awards were announced on Good Morning America, and this year is looking to be dominated by none other than Ms. "Fancy" herself, Iggy Azalea. The Aussie-born rapper leads the pack with six nominations, followed closely by John Legend, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams, who each racked up five nods.

The 22 award categories span across all genres, with specific distinctions set out for pop/rock, country, rap/hip-hop, alternative music, soul/R&B, Latin and contemporary.

As mentioned, Azalea leads the pack with six nominations, including the illustrious Artist of the Year, Single of the Year ("Fancy") and New Artist of the Year. In the main Artist of the Year category, Azalea is up against some music giants, including Beyoncé, Eminem, One Direction and Perry. That category is the largest of the year, with 10 acts nominated in total.

Voting is open for the AMAs now on the show's official website. Though voting for New Artist of the Year Presented by Kohl's will not begin until Nov. 1.

The AMAs will air on Nov. 23 on ABC.
