The Pixies released their newest effort, "EP-1", along with the album's first music video.
The video for "Indie Cindy" tells the story of a tragic love triangle, filmed in reverse then retold in fast-forward on a rudimentary video camera. Black Francis' angst-driven, spoken-word verses are set over grungy guitar breaks. His crooning on the chorus is heartbreakingly sweet as he sings "I'm in love with your daughter / and though she has no need / I'm the one who's got some trotters / You've many mouths to feed/ Indie Cindy/ Be in love with me/ I beg for you to carry me."
According to NME, after the June release of the single "Bagboy," Black Francis previewed some of the EP's material through a post on Vine in which he sang along to one of the songs.
The four-track EP was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales and produced by Gil Norton (1989's "Dolittle," 1990's "Bossanova" and 1991's "Trompe Le Monde").
The band also announced a four-date UK/Ireland tour starting in November, which will jumpstart an eventual world tour. Kim Deal revealed back in June that she would be leaving that band, so Kim Shattuck will be replacing her on bass.
