Kiss's 1977 seminal recording Love Gun is the latest album in a long line of rock royalty to receive the deluxe reissue treatment.
With career favorites like "Christine Sixteen" and the title track, Love Gun: Deluxe Edition is bound to be a coveted purchase for fans of the black and white. The two-disc package will include the original album followed by a compilation of rare studio demos and live cuts, Blabbermouth reports.
You can check out the tracklist below.
Love Gun, the band's highest charting album, reached No. 4 on Billboard's 200 albums chart. It was the band's first album to feature all four members — Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss — on vocals, but it was the last to include the classic lineup. The Cat makeup was handed over to Anton Fig for the band's 1979 album Dynasty.
Vintage Vinyl News outlined more of the release:
"The first disc of the set includes a remastered version of the original album while Disc 2 has demos, three live performances from a 1977 Lakeland, Florida, concert and an interview with Gene Simmons," VVN reported. "A rarity for any expanded edition of an album, the deluxe edition includes a glimpse into Paul Stanley's creative process on 'Love Gun (Teaching Demo)' with Stanley talking through the various chords of the song."
