Fergie's DJ Mustard-produced single "L.A. Love (la la)" appears to be getting an official YG remix if the Black Eyed Peas frontwoman's Instagram is any indication. Fergie unveiled photos from the video shoot over the weekend, which show her with her dancers on a party bus and with YG on a low-rider.
It looks like she also enlisted a few L.A. residents for the clip, including Sevyn Streeter, Cypress Hill's Sen Dog, and Kelly Osbourne.
The concept for the video appears to be a joyride through Los Angeles, from Hacienda Heights to Hollywood, in a tricked-out, double-decker, Día De Los Muertos-themed "Love Bus" bus.
According to Rap-Up, Fatima Robinson ("Fergalicious") directed the clip.
"Hanging with my boy, @YG on the #LALOVE set. #MLKblvd," Fergie captioned her photo with the "My Hitta" rapper.
Fergie dropped "L.A. Love (la la)" at the end of September as a love letter to her hometown.
"Every city, every state, every country you know / All around the globe / This is how we roll," Fergie sweetly sings in the pre-chorus before listing all the cities she's been to that don't compare to her home.
"I am a student. I study the evolution of music, from Kendrick [Lamar] to [DJ] Mustard, L.A. had an explosion. I needed to be part of it," Fergie told Power 106, when asked why she chose an L.A. anthem as well as an L.A.-based producer for the song.
"L.A. Love (La La)" is first track since last year's "A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)" from The Great Gatsby soundtrack.
The single is expected to be included on her upcoming second solo album, her first in 8 years. Reportedly due out in 2015, the effort will feature work from Mike WiLL Made-It, Rae Sremmurd, and will.i.am.
