Cream Career-Spanning Box Set Will Be Released in November [TRACKLIST]

Although Cream's career was brief, it spawned four impressive albums that will be released in a specialty box set this November.

The six-LP set will include 1966's Fresh Cream, 1967's Disraeli Gears, 1968's Wheel's of Fire and 1969's I'm So Glad in addition to two live albums, Consequence of Sound notes. Each LP will be adorned in its original album artwork. Pre-orders for Cream: 1966-1972 are on sale now.

Cream, which included guitar legend Eric Clapton, bassist/singer Jack Bruce and mad man drummer Ginger Baker, disbanded in the late '60s. Clapton went on to work with Blind Faith and Derek and The Dominos before having a successful solo career.

Baker joined Slowhand in Blind Faith for a brief stint and went on to form his own group, Ginger Baker's Air Force. Bruce has maintained a solo career while collaborating with famous jazz artists and occasionally joining up with Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band.

Both Fresh Cream and Disraeli Gear made Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list in 2003, landing in the Nos. 101 and 114 spots.

"Within the grooves of this record are miles of listening pleasure," RS wrote about Gear after its release. "Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker are simply superb musicians with the gift of unending virtuosity."
