Britney Spears announced Tuesday night via Twitter that her new single, "Work Bitch," will premiere Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. EST and will be available for purchase at 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 17 on iTunes.
A few days earlier, she posted photos on Instagram of her on set filming the video, and along with the tonight's announcement, she tweeted about the making of the clip.
"EPIC EPIC 3 days shooting #WorkBitch in the desert with Ben Mor. Thanks for braving the heat with me. #NextLevelVideo :) "
MTV News reports that Anthony Preston (a will.i.am collaborator) co-wrote the track and that Ru Paul will be sampled on the track.
News of a the single emerged back in mid August when Spears' official website began to feature a countdown clock with the phrase "Britney Spears: All Eyes On Me." The track is rumored to be the first single off her upcoming eighth studio album.
