Next year, the Bayou Country Superfest will once again be a three-day event. In 2014, the festival was expanded by a day in order to work with George Strait's final tour schedule so he could headline on Friday. Rather than go back to two days, as the previous festivals were, organizers decided to keep Friday on the books.
The 6th annual Bayou Country Superfest lineup is expected to be announced on November 5, but if it is anything like previous lineups, it will be off the hook!
2014 - Big & Rich, Chris Young, Easton Corbin, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, George Straight, Gloriana, Hunter Hayes, Jason Aldean, Joe Nichols, Lee Brice, Luke Bryan and Reba
2013 - Darius Rucker, Frankie Ballard, Lady Antebellum, Love and Theft, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Rodney Atkins, The Band Perry, Thompson Square and Zac Brown Band
2012 - Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Jerrod Niemann, Joe Nichols, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts and Sara Evans
2011 - Billy Currington, Jason Michael Carroll, Josh Thompson, Kenny Chesney, Lee Brice, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Sugarland, Trace Adkins and Zac Brown Band
2010 - Brooks & Dunn, David Nail, Jake Owen, Jason Aldean, Justin Moore, Keith Urban, Kellie Pickler, Kenny Chesney and Taylor Swift
Those line-ups have equaled a ton of great music for the estimated 135,000 yearly attendees.
A dream line-up (and mind you, these are just my dreams) for 2015 would be ...
- Big & Rich (They are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. Extend the party into 2015!)
- Blake Shelton (Blake has never appeared at BCS. There is something wrong with that picture.)
- Carrie Underwood (She hasn't been since 2012 and by May, she should be ready to hit the stage again.)
- Dierks Bentley (Dierks hasn't appeared since 2012. It's past time.)
- Eric Church (He was there in 2012 and 2014, but why wait until 2016 to keep the pattern?)
- Florida Georgia Line (Yes, they were there last year, but a repeat performance isn't a bad thing.)
- Jason Aldean (see notes for Florida Georgia Line.)
- Jerrod Niemann (He hasn't been at BCS since '12. It's time.)
- Kelly Clarkson (Kelly and Carrie would remind everyone what we love about American Idol.
- Miranda Lambert (Another leading lady of country, Miranda would be a great addition to any festival.)
- Toby Keith (Toby hasn't been yet - and with a new album, 35 MPH Town coming out [probably] next year, it would be a great time to share the new music.)
- Vince Gill (Every festival needs a living legend.)
- Willie Nelson (Willie makes anywhere he goes a party!)
