Do you miss pop rock groups Busted or like McFly in general (if so, you're probably from the UK)? Members from those acts have come together as the incredibly titled...get ready for it...McBusted. The band will be dropping a self-titled album on December 1 (again, in the UK).
The group features six members—Charlie Simpson of Busted fame won't be present for the album and ensuing tour—but at least three members of high school rock royalty will make guest appearances on the album. Blink-182's Mark Hoppus will take a guest vocalist role on the track "Hate Your Guts" and he also gets a songwriting credit on "Sensitive Guy." NME wasn't sure where the rest of the crew came in but could confirm that Weezer's Rivers Cuomo and All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth will also make an appearance.
Tom Fletcher, the lead vocalist and guitar player for McFly, said that working with the Blink-182 was a childhood dream of sorts.
"He'd been such a huge influence on our songwriting that to finally get in a room with him was so fun if slightly surreal," he said.
