Dave Matthews and Sesame Street's Grover Team Up On 'I Need A Word'

The 44th season of Sesame Street premieres Monday, and Dave Matthews joins the show a special musical appearance. Sesame Street released a teaser of the "I Need a Word" performance on YouTube today.

In the clip, Matthews is sitting on a stoop playing the banjo when Grover shows up. They begin to discuss their feelings:

Matthews: "Is something wrong, Grover?"
Grover: "Yes, David. Right now I am feeling a feeling, and it is not a very good feeling."
Matthews: "Hey! I'm feeling a feeling that's not a very good feeling as well. What feeling are you feeling?"
Grover: "I feel...I feel...Oh, David, to be honest I don't know what to call this feeling I feel."
Matthews: "I'm not sure what to call the feeling I am feeling, either. You know what we need?"
Grover: "What?"
Matthews: "A song."
Grover: "Think it will help?"
Matthews: "Couldn't hurt."

Together they sing a banjo-fueled ballad, which (despite it being a children's tune) is actually a pretty decent song. Maybe Matthews will garner a new demographic of fans after this collaboration.

The 26-episode season begins Monday on PBS. Other guests this season include Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ginnifer Goodwin, Lauren Graham, Anna Kendrick, Romeo Santos, Charlize Theron, Usher, and more.
