Jon Gosselin Tried to Grab Part of Kate Gosselin's Latest TLC Paycheck Before Eviction

No doubt about it, Jon Gosselin has hit a seriously low point in his life — which has been filled with a multitude of dismal moments. Last we heard, Gosselin was fired from his restaurant job, dumped by his most recent girlfriend and finally evicted from his rural Pennsylvania home. He showed up at a yard sale that his ex, Kate Gosselin, had last weekend to retrieve some of his old belongings, and it was obvious they are not on great terms — not that it is any surprise, as Jon Gosselin recently tried to squeeze TLC money out of her.

Kate recently signed a new deal with TLC to produce a few Kate Plus 8 specials that will air at different points in time. The network realizes Kate and her kids can no longer carry a weekly show, but there is still a fan base that likes to see them pop up here and there.

Apparently, Jon Gosselin tried to push Kate to give him a chunk of the profit from the shows because the kids are half his. There was no way she was handing him a dime, so then Jon Gosselin threatened to drag her back to court in order to try and gain custody by insisting the kids do not want to film.

Even if he was going to attempt that, the plan would have fallen flat the minute he lost suitable housing for his eight kids. He is currently living in the same neighborhood he was evicted from, but in a smaller home. It is interesting how when everything was circling the drain Jon Gosselin resorted to turning to his ex to save him, isn't it? Sure, he may not have spelled it out for her exactly that way, but in retrospect it is what his attempt at a money grab amounted to.

Do you think Jon Gosselin is ever going to get it together, or is he one of those people who manages to pull himself together temporarily but then it never lasts? That is the pattern that seems to have emerged.

Will he ever break his dysfunctional cycle? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
