Selena Gomez Loves New Taylor Swift Album '1989' Because of Course She Does

Selena Gomez wants you to know she is Taylor Swift's best friend, and that the two are inseparable. As K-Bake said in A Few Good Men, "These are the facts of the case, and they are undisputed." After Swift dropped her fifth album, 1989, this week, Gomez took to Instagram to prove her bond with pop's shiniest star.

She posted, "From hotel room album listening parties, kitchen dance floor album listening parties to driving on the pch, windows down album listening parties. — The best part is we were the only ones there. Each time. So happy, honored and proud to know you and your diaries."

Naturally, Swift was overjoyed and reciprocated with a nice tweet. Notice, though, the use of "friends" instead of "best friend everrrrr." Is Swift trying to distance herself?

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres earlier this month, Gomez claimed Swift was trying to kidnap her and bring her to New York.

"She wants to kidnap me," Gomez said, via Billboard. "She's been begging me every time we get on the phone to move to New York, 'cause it's been a really good thing for her. You know, we've been friends for seven years and she really feels like she kind of stepped into her own and became a woman there, and she's like, 'All right, your turn!'"

But a move does not appear to be in the cards just yet.

"This year's been — I have been doing this so long that people tend to forget — they're like, 'Be yourself, be yourself,' and I'm still trying to figure out who that is," she said. "I know I'm not perfect, but I know I have a lot of people that support me and love me, and I don't want to let anyone down, so I try to be the best I can be."
