Back in July, Kanye West attacked a paparazzo at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and has now been charged with misdemeanors of battery and attempted grand theft.
TMZ reported that West attacked the photographer who was trying to talk to West as he was exiting the airport. According to Spin, a group of photographers and videographers swarmed West, and Daniel Ramos began firing questions at him. The rapper reportedly lunged at Ramos and tried to grab his camera from him. Unfortunately for West, the scenario was caught on tape. The scuffle ended with the photographer in the hospital and West with a lawsuit on his hands.
According to TMZ, West issued a warning to paparazzi a few days earlier saying, "Don't talk." But apparently, that didn't help him much.
If 'Ye is convicted of both misdemeanors, he will face a maximum of one year in jail. He will be indicted on Oct. 10. Ramos has hired famed attorney Gloria Allred who told the press last month "Celebrities should thank [photographers] that they get coverage."
