Ice Cube Makes 'Sesame Street' Debut, Turns Himself Into An Actual, Anthropomorphic Ice Cube [WATCH]

Ice Cube is the latest guest to make an appearance on Sesame Street. In a promotional clip for his debut on the show, he hung out with Elmo and taught him a new word "astounding," which he defines as "when something is so amazing it catches you by surprise."

He illustrated the use of the word by performing magic tricks. First he made a coin disappear, then made a baby dinosaur appear in his hat, and then he did the best thing ever and turned himself into an anthropomorphic ice cube. This is all very intriguing coming from a man that once was in a gangsta rap outfit. He might lose some street cred from this appearance, but at least he's earning Sesame Street cred.

The full episode "If Me Had That Wand!" will air tomorrow (Oct. 30) on PBS.

Other artists to visit the show this season include Janelle Monáe, who sang about "The Power of Yet," One Direction's Harry Styles and Liam Payne, who sang the "ABCs" with Bert, Macklemore, Michael Bublé, and Ed Sheeran.

Ice Cube is currently at work as the executive producer for the film Straight Outta Compton, which gets its name from N.W.A.'s 1988 landmark debut album. His 22-year-old son, O'Shea Jackson, will play him in the movie.
