Looks like the time has come for Paul Simon to add another check to his success list, because Ultimate Classic Rock is reporting that the former Simon and Garfunkel member is getting his own exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which will open tomorrow, Oct. 30.
As Simon has been inducted into the Hall of Fame twice – once as a member of his aforementioned duo as well as once for his solo career – the Paul Simon-themed exhibit will honor his life and career in the music biz. UCR notes that the exhibit will house a narrative "driven by the artist himself." It will hold interviews that guide the visitor through the "Graceland" singer's life and process.
On the news, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame CEO and president, Greg Harris, said, "When Mr. Simon visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for a tour last year, our idea to honor him with an exhibit was ignited and the process of creating this new exhibition began."
Coined Paul Simon: Words & Music, the exhibition will display roughly 80 items from the artist's works –– including lyrics, instruments, rare videos and photos and even outfits.
As the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame site notes, Spotify users are able to listen to songs featured in the exhibit by logging into their Spotify accounts and searching for the playlist "Paul Simon: Words & Music."
More information on the exhibit can be viewed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's website.
