Apparently the producers of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta are siding with the couple whose dysfunction and drama brings the viewers because just this afternoon both Benzino and his love, Althea Eaton were fired. This undoubtedly stems from the smack down that occurred on the recent reunion show between these two and Stevie J with his kinda sorta wife, Joseline Hernandez. One minute everyone was seated and the next, Hernandez was charging the stage at Eaton and it was downhill from there.
The reunion continued after both couples left and it turned into what amounted to a group therapy session with the rest of the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta cast discussing things very openly. Hernandez's bad behavior was attributed to a bit of a drug problem and everyone seemed hopeful that this violent outburst would ultimately result in the firing of Hernandez and Stevie. Eaton, after being punched in the face and dragged across the stage, has actually filed a lawsuit against Hernandez.
You would think after all of this, it would be time to send a clear cut message that even on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, where fights might be intentionally provoked, extreme violence isn't tolerated. Instead the producers took several weeks to finally decide to chop Benzino and Eaton instead.
Benzino seems to be a pretty decent dude until crossed so needless to say, this isn't sitting well at all today as he took to his Twitter with a series of scathing tweets. He is giving up details of other shady things that went on and promises that this fight is just getting started. It's pretty obvious that the producers are only willing to tolerate Hernandez because she is the train wreck that keeps people tuning in. While she might be best for business, is VH1 doing the right thing by keeping her? Do you think that they are hoping that her behavior will escalate? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
