With the release of his latest studio album Motion, Calvin Harris has managed to break even more chart records than before. According to Billboard, "Calvin Harris becomes the first act to place three songs simultaneously in the Hot Dance / Electronic Songs top 10, as 'Outside,' featuring Ellie Goulding, debuts at No. 7. It joins 'Blame,' featuring John Newman (No. 2) and 'Summer' (No. 9) in the upper tier."
The inclusion of "Outside" in the Top 10 pushes him past chart regulars David Guetta and Zedd and gives him his second collaboration alongside Ellie Goulding in the Top 10. This is all being done before the album has even hit stores, which it is slated to do so Tuesday, Nov. 4. The Forbes cash king, who raked in a whopping $66 million last year, shows no signs of slowing down even after being the first artist to have nine tracks chart in the U.K. Top 10 in one album from his previous album, 18 Months.
The anticipation has built to a fever pitch as fans eagerly await the next batch of hits set to come from Calvin Harris. The marketing machine has been overdrive for the album, with previews coming every few days.
In addition, Calvin Harris's team has been taking Motion on a weekend United States listening bus tour, giving fans a chance to hear the album before it is released in cities like Boston, New York and Miami.
The Motion list of collaborators reads like a who's who of the music industry, with names like Big Sean, Gwen Stefani, HAIM, Ellie Goulding, R3hab and others joining on the album. "Summer," "Under Control," "Blame" and "Outside" have all been incredibly successful thus far, so it is hard to imagine what records Harris will not be breaking when all 15 tracks are released.
