Marilyn Manson gave fans a nice Halloween treat at their show in Los Angeles Friday, Oct. 31, when the singer brought out actor/occasional rocker Johnny Depp and Die Antwood's Ninja for an encore performance of "The Beautiful People."
The crowd erupted for Depp after Manson's introduction, but the shock rocker was not pleased with the praise for Ninja. The crew ripped into Manson's huge hit from 1996's Antichrist Superstar as the Die Antwood member continually stage dived into the heap of people piled into The Roxy.
The fan-shot footage below is from a member of the audience close to the stage, so you get a good view of all the players. Check out the heavy cut below via Consequence of Sound.
Depp and Manson have performed previously, Rolling Stone noted, and the actor also played on Manson's cover of Carly Simon's "You're So Vain." Manson is a fan of Depp's work as well, frequently appearing at red carpet premieres for the actor's movies, showing up at 2001's From Hell, 2006's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, 2011's The Rum Diary and this year's Transcendence.
Manson recently shared a new single titled "Third Day of a Seven Day Binge" from their upcoming album. The singer spoke to Kerrang at the beginning of the year to talk about his new material, which will be put out in 2015:
"It's very cinematic. The redneck in me comes out in my voice, and it's got some old blues mixed with the very hard elements," he said. "I want to retain what I think is good about the past, what music I did and who I am. It's not about being pissed about the world — it's about realizing someone has to fuck things up."
Depp has had a busy year onstage, performing with the likes of Paul McCartney and Aerosmith. He joined Ryan Adams for a rendition of Danzig's "Mother" as well.
