Apparently Wale has been having some health issues. The MMG rapper posted a selfie from a hospital bed as he prepares his forthcoming release The Album About Nothing.
Wale took to Instagram sharing a picture of himself draped in a hospital gown, as noted by Vibe. Since his visit, for unspecified reasons, the "Bad" rapper has had a lot of time to get things into perspective, just as he predicted.
"Turn up the Valium . Dance dance . So look right U get all emo and think about a lot of s--t in these situations .. I'm thankful for the perspective of knowin who REALLY "yeah" . I know I know I know .. And it's bittersweet! Anyway love to my family /friends fans," he captioned the photo.
Just last week he took to Twitter to announce that he would undergo surgery. "Been out of commish . Surgery next week. I'mma bounce back crazy tho.. On bed rest puttin things in perspective," Wale tweeted.
Back in September, the D.C. rapper released the trailer for his upcoming album. In the trailer, Wale can be seen in the studio with Jerry Seinfeld. He also opens up about his personal growth and he even questions his artistry, asking if he has lost his fans.
The three-minute clip features tidbits of some of the rough patches he has faced throughout his career including his public Twitter beef with Meek Mill, the phone call to Complex about not being included on the "50 Best Albums of 2013" list and the time he confronted a Toronto Raptors broadcaster who called him a "local rapper" at a Wizards game.
Stay tuned for updates on Wale's progress and news about The Album About Nothing.
