Drake is a big star. Like, really big.
But Michael Jackson big? Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari believes the Toronto rapper is on the King of Pop's level.
"I'm like, this guy, if he makes it, I wanna see if he'll change," Calipari told the Seth Davis Show (via MTV). "Grounded, the same guy, kind heart and then you find out like 'Wow', Michael Jackson talented, like megastar ... has not changed."
Coach Cal was asked how their bromance began.
"It started pretty early when he was just coming on to his own," he said. "I'll tell ya, I loved him as a person."
There's no bigger front-running fan in sports than Drake, but we've seen him embrace Kentucky more than most teams in the past year.
Drizzy has given his full support to several conflicting athletic interests over the years, and his most recent endeavor was suiting up with the Kentucky Wildcats last month before an exhibition game. While he brought his signature lint roller to the event, it could not prevent him from air-balling his first shot in warmups.
The man who brought us "Take Care" was also recently involved in a semi-scandal with stripper Jhonni Blaze, who claimed she was threatened by Drake and his squad. She later apologized.
"I did what was right as a woman and just filed a police report for my safety, in case something happened to me," Blaze said. "I apologize to the whole staff and whoever works with Drake. I apologize from my heart."
Drake finished up his tour with Lil' Wayne a couple weeks ago, and he alluded to a 2015 version of the Drake vs. Lil' Wayne event during the final stop.
"We're tied up tonight. I know there has to be a winner or they want to see a winner, but I've got an idea," Drake said, per Vibe. "I feel like, you put out this Carter V, I put out this Views from the 6, we do this tour again next year and we start that bitch in Houston."
